Welcome to First Pres SLO
We are more than just an old stone church on the corner of Marsh and Morro. We are an inclusive, caring community that comes together each week to hear the teachings of Jesus Christ and celebrate the grace of God. We are a safe place where strangers become friends, the wounded can find spiritual care, and the skeptic can ask questions. We live as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, serving others in our community and around the world.
The Jazz Vespers Concert Series Return
Guitarist Pat Kelley has enjoyed a successful career in Los Angeles as a studio and touring musician, recording artist and educator. He has recorded and toured with numerous symphony orchestras, Chick Corea, Natalie Cole and Dave Brubeck among many others while being on the USC Thornton School of Music faculty for decades.
Kelley will be joined by Ron McCarley on saxophone and Dylan Johnson on bass. The concert is free/donations appreciated and will be followed by a reception. Tad Miller will present a brief meditation.
Wednesdays at the Rock is a free program for 3 year olds through 6th grade kids to come each Wednesday. A place where they will, grow, worship, and serve. Each week we will have Bible Lessons, Music, Crafts, Gym Time, Snacks, and Fellowship. Service opportunities will also be a part of our program. Wednesdays at the Rock is a safe place for all kids. This year we will have two groups. Group 1 will be for the younger kids and Group 2 will be for the older kids. We will spend time together and time for each group to have age-appropriate activities.
