Their mission is to provide for a welcoming and inviting church landscape and an improved accessibility and visibility of exteriors spaces. The Landscape Design Team invites you to share your love of landscape. The team meets first Thursday of the month in the church library. Strives to share a warm smile and welcoming word with anyone who comes to worship at First Pres. Besides a welcoming presence in Sunday services, the usher team also helps with memorials and holiday services.

A satellite of the Peace and Social Justice Team, it is comprised of members trained in mediation skills by the Lombard Peace Center. The mission is to introduce a system of Biblically based skills and procedures that promote and sustain peaceful communications in the life of the congregation.
This team's goal is to create and maintain a safe, healthy, loving, and joyful place fro children 0 to 36 months to experience God. It is the desire of First Pres to offer children an opportunity to develop spiritually, within a nurturing environment, while their parents are in church.
