The church is called to sameness of loyalty to Christ, sameness of gifting and motivating Spirit; but it is called to diversity in individual giftedness, style and effect. At First Pres, we strive to be as a symphony, where not everyone plays the same instrument or sounds the same chord, but where each is attuned to the Conductor, Jesus Christ. The diversity of an orchestra, from piccolo to bass drum, is its very richness. It is out of this context that FPC offers a variety of opportunities to use your gifts and passions to become involved with and a part of the church, the community, and the world.
