A Safe Community for Students to Encounter the Resurrected Lord

Our core purpose as Youth at First Pres is to encounter Jesus Christ and share that encounter with others through:

• Building a safe space to be known and loved
• Worshipping God through singing, studying, and discussion
• Engaging in fun activities
• Gathering for community meals
• Finding ways to serve others

Regardless of who you are or where you come from, this community welcomes you.

Youth Group

The Youth Group meets on Wednesday nights from 5:45-7:30 pm on the 3rd floor of the Hart Building.  Wednesday nights

are an invitational time for all students to come experience fellowship, participate in worship, practice joy in the playing games and sharing meals, and study the Bible.

Youth Group is for 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade students and for High School students.

Sabbath Time

On Sunday mornings our 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade students and High School students meet together for both times of Bible study and worship through acts of service.  We meet on Sunday mornings during the 10:30am worship hour on the 3rd floor of the Hart Building in the Beck Lounge.

Upcoming Events

• 11/11-13 Fall Frenzy - 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders, join us for a fall retreat at Mount Hermon in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains.  This will be a great weekend of worship, fun, and growing closer with one another.  Contact Eric Garner for more details.
• 11/17 Picture Scavenger Hunt - join us at 5:30 on Thursday, 11/17 for a picture scavenger hunt through the Downtown Farmer’s Market.  Meet in the church’s courtyard for a list of pictures to be captured.
• 12/7 Lolla-Pie-Looza - Join the Youth Group at its usual time for the first annual Lolla-Pie-Looza.  Bake your best pie and have it judged by a panel of celebrity judges.  Winners will receive some glorious pie related prizes!
• 12/21 Christmas Party - What could be more fun than Christmas sweaters, caroling, schmoozing, and fruitcake?  Okay, maybe no fruitcake, but you seriously want to join us for a great night of celebration.  Bring a White Elephant gift, and be prepared for a joyous time.
• 1/13-1/16 High School Winter Retreat - Calling all High Schoolers!  Join us for an exciting trip to Bass Lake and Badger Pass.  Prepare yourself for a great time with the Youth Group, times of worship & teaching, and one day of skiing/snowboarding/snow-frolicing. You won’t want to miss it!
