Women's Ministry

There are two women's ministry groups within First pres; Presbyterian Women and Women's Ministry.

Both groups are committed to encouraging and helping women of all ages meet their spiritual needs and grow in their faith.

Presbyterian Women is organized on presbytery, synod and church-wide levels. It provides program, leadership, resources, information and opportunities for service.


Presbyterian Women

They have four women's groups that meet weekly and or monthly for fellowship and Bible study. You can just come to any group that works with your schedule.

1st Thursday monthly (10:00 am in the Library)

Presbyterian Women are also engaged in mission work including:

  • The Annual Thank Offering and The Birthday Offering
  • General Pledge to Presbyterian Women Mission work worldwide
  • Wycliff Bible Translators
  • Front Porch
  • Green Pastures
  • Prado day Center
  • Foodbank Coalition (as well as other non-profit agencies in our community)
  • Presbyterian Mission Church in Kayenta, AZ 

Women's Ministry

Women's Ministry is an intergenerational team of First Pres whose primary mission is to provide four major gatherings yearly and open opportunities for women to deepen their relationships with each other, with Christ, and with their Faith. 


We strive to:

  • Reach women though the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
  • Deepen our relationship with God and each other by encouraging fellowship among women of all ages.
  • Provide ministry and disciplining opportunities to help meet the spiritual needs of women.
  • Demonstrate Christ’s love to each other, our community and the world.
