Welcome to First Pres SLO
We are more than just an old stone church on the corner of Marsh and Morro. We are an inclusive, caring community that comes together each week to hear the teachings of Jesus Christ and celebrate the grace of God. We are a safe place where strangers become friends, the wounded can find spiritual care, and the skeptic can ask questions. We live as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, serving others in our community and around the world.

In 1925, teacher John Scopes was tried for teaching evolution, creating a cultural flashpoint that still shapes faith-science debates today. We'll explore the trial's events and spend weeks discussing how Christian faith relates to scientific knowledge, examining history, Scripture, and ways Jesus-followers can thoughtfully engage modern culture.
9th Annual Christmas Jazz Vespers
Join the Dave Becker Quartet and vocalist Kathryn Loomis for Christmas Jazz Vespers on Sunday, December 14th at 7:00 PM. Enjoy jazz arrangements of classic Christmas carols with all proceeds benefiting SLO Noor Foundation Health Clinics, which provides healthcare to uninsured adults in SLO.
